I liked Shangri-La, even with the sudden "magic did it" at the end, although they start off not telling you much, as the show progresses they explain everything. Most of it they explain with technology, which fits with the theme of the show, but then when science gets in the way of how things would work they attribute it to magic, which was really just one thing (although a major plot point).

I am not opposed to a show that includes technology and magic, but they didn't seem to throw it in there until near the end, except for a few hints in the earlier episodes.

FYI, there was one station that did broadcast Purezza without the blatant censorship (I'm guessing AT-X, from the top of my head). Still, Purezza was much worse than S1 and the blatant fanservice doesn't help.

Haruhi S2 was indeed a disappointment because of Endless Eight. Despite that, I thought the non-E8 episodes were excellent. So for me, it wasn't nearly as much of a disappointment as the shows I mentioned above.

CANAAN is actually in my Top 10 list (the post before this one). I loved it. =P

Hah, someone else who doesn't like Kimi ni Todoke! I can't say I see the appeal either.

You could argue that Haruhi was the biggest dissapointment although that entirely depends on what you were expecting from the show originally. My biggest dissapointment was either Shangri-La or Canaan
