Looking for More Writers

UPDATE 6/28: We have found all the writers we’re looking for, and will be posting an announcement in a few days. Thanks to all who applied for showing interest in the site!

As you may have noticed, content has slowed down significantly here recently. Simply put, I haven’t had time to write much of anything as of late, so I’m looking for some new writers.

If you have a passion for anime and/or video games, have confidence in your writing ability, and would like to contribute some reviews, editorials, or other related content to this site, please send an email to janaiblog [at] gmail [dot] com.

Be sure to include the following:

• Who you are (if I know you from Twitter or elsewhere)
• What you’re interested in writing about (anime, video games, editorials)
• What genres you prefer (slice-of-life, horror, mecha, action, sci-fi, etc.)
• A link to any writing work you’ve done in the past (preferably related to anime, manga, or video games)

Anime reviews will be of official releases only. JanaiBlog doesn’t do reviews of unlicensed (fansubbed) anime, though we do write general posts about such shows from time to time.

As of now, I cannot offer any pay or freebies for writing for JanaiBlog. This site is non-profit, and we don’t receive review units (though I do plan to apply for some in the future). This site is mostly laid back, so I’d only expect 2-3 posts per month from you, and you can generally write about whatever you want (within reason – no hentai anime, for example, though most dating sims I’ll allow). However, I cannot provide you with the material you review.
