Shiki getting DVD/BD Release Next Spring
UPDATE: The Shiki page is accessible again, now with a different picture.
There hasn’t been an official announcement yet, but a page for the noitaminA series Shiki has appeared on Funimation’s website.
Shiki tells the story of a small town called Sotoba, where a series of mysterious deaths begin shortly after a strange new family moves into a long abandoned mansion. Toshio Ozaki, a local doctor, believes the deaths are an epidemic moving through the town. But as the deaths begin to pile, he begins to suspect that something more is going on.
Funimation simulcasted the series as part of their noitaminA streaming deal last Summer.

Funimation Simulcast Survey
Funimation has put together a survey asking people for opinions on their simulcasts, specifically asking about DVD/Blu-Ray releases of those shows. So if you’re one of the many people wishing to own a physical copy of House of Five Leaves, The Tatami Galaxy, Princess Jellyfish, or any other simulcast show, now is your chance to let them know.
There’s also a space for additional comments so if you’ve been wishing they would simulcast series in HD this would be a good opportunity to tell them.

In what turned out to be one of my favorite Otakons thus far, this year’s exhibition sported some awesome panels and special events that made the weekend lots of fun. Without further ado, let’s get to the rundown of what I attended…

This week, Scott and I go more in depth with the shows we’re watching this season, now that we’ve seen at least 2 episodes of most shows. We also discuss FUNimation streaming the noitaminA anime block (House of Five Leaves and The Tatami Galaxy) and why streaming anime sucks.
