Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 Complete Collection (Anime Legends)
Plot Synopsis: “On August 10th of the year 2010 the Holy Empire of Britannia began a campaign of conquest, its sights set on Japan. In the span of one month the island nation was conquered. As a dominion of the Empire the newly acquired territory was renamed Area 11. The rights of its citizens were severely limited and an economic depression followed for the Japanese, now known as Elevens.
Just as things seemed at their bleakest one man chose to stand up and fight, the masked crusader Zero. Leading his Order of Black Knights, Zero instigated a full scale revolution against Britannia culminating in one final battle, the Black Rebellion. Heavy casualties were seen by both sides but ultimately Britannia stood the victor resulting in Zero’s execution. And thus was history written.
The year is now 2018. With Zero dead and the remnants of the Black Knights being swept up by the Britannian forces, a forced state of peace settles over Area 11. The rights of the Elevens remain limited but with no one to lead them and the defeat during the Black Rebellion hanging over them, the Japanese people remain under the boot of Britannian oppression with no hope to overcome.”
I liked the first season of Code Geass and with Mobile Suit Gundam listed above TRSI had this on sale back in December so I wanted to pre-order it and have it for my collection

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time BD
Plot Synopsis: “Makoto Konno is having one of those days. After getting up late for school she’s hit with a pop quiz. She started a fire while cooking in her home economics class and then she gets knocked down by some of the guys while they wrestle. How much worse can this day get? While performing an errand for her mother, Makoto loses the brakes on her bike and barrels headlong down the street into an oncoming train. This would have been the capper for a horrible day, but for some reason something strange has happened. Time has suddenly stopped and moved her backward.
With her newly discovered ability to literally leap backwards in time, Makoto finds that tests become a piece of cake, embarrassing situations are corrected and she can have her favorite food anytime she wants. Unfortunately, her care-free time traveling has adverse effects on the people she cares for.
With every successful leap Makoto somehow alters the fate of those around her. This wasn’t supposed to happen! As she races back in time to fix everything, she notices that her abilities are not limitless, but with every successful jump she’s one step closer to discovering the most wonderful secret in her young adult life.”
I never watched this film before, but with Bandai Entertainment pulling out of R1 I thought that if I wanted to watch it, I should just buy it now instead of trying to buy it another time and have the prices be over the MSRP. Buy.com had it for cheaper than TRSI so grabbing it from them was a no brainer.

Plot Synopsis “Takashi and his fellow students join up with a band of survivors who have barricaded themselves inside a local mall. Though the shopping center seems a well-stocked place to hide from the undead lurking outside, the policewoman in charge is having a hard time maintaining peace within. The group from Fujimi High would rather not get involved in a power struggle and tries to stay under the radar until they are ready to set off again. But with so many attractive, buxom girls among the students, it may be nearly impossible to avoid unwanted attention of the worst kind…”
I pre-ordered this back during the last Yen Press sale at TRSI since I am a fan of the series in both the anime and manga form.

KimiKiss Pure Rouge DVD Collection 1 and 2
Plot Synopsis (from Collection 1): “Kouichi always thought of Mao as his little sister, but when he wakes up from a dream and she walks into his house, he doesn’t even recognize her. It’s probably because after living in France for several years, Mao is definitely not anyone’s little sister anymore!
To further complicate things, Koichi’s mom has invited Mao to stay at their house while she attends the same high school as Kouichi and their mutual friend Kazuki. But given that Kouichi’s been trying to build a relationship with Yuumi, the revelation that he’s now sharing accommodations with a non-related girl is definitely going to cause some emotional waves – or maybe a tsunami by the time Kazuki’s sister Nana, her best friend Narumi, and all the other kids at school get overly involved.”
I have heard a few things about this series so after watching the first episode last month I decided to go ahead and grab the sets. Right Stuf had them as a bundle so I was able to get both sets together for less than the MSRP of each set.
KimiKuss Pure Rouge Bundle is available from Right Stuf
Collection 1 and Collection 2 are also available from Right Stuf

Plot Synopsis: “Mireille makes a living killing as an international assassin. Kirika is an amnesiac with uncanny speed and stealth. Under the codename Noir, these two young mistresses of semi-automatics and improvised weapons track and execute criminal syndicates across the globe as they hunt for clues to their connected pasts – but it is they who are actually being hunted.
Caught in the crosshairs of a centuries-old conspiracy, the deadly beauties of Noir aim to expose the secrets of the ancient society orchestrating their lives. Will Mireille and Kirika have a future after they learn the truth about their pasts?”
I watched the first episode of Noir back in October on the Funimation Channel that Comcast has. Like the first episode enough that I decided I had to own this series. As with KimiKiss Pure Rouge TRSI had the newest Funimation release of the series on sale.

One of those hired guns is a beautiful woman with a vendetta against Gasback. Will she get a shot at revenge? Maybe, if she can get through Gasback’s bodyguard, Wolfwood. And what’s Vash got to do with this mess? Nothing much – except for the fact that he personally set off the entire chain of events two decades ago!”
I am a fan of the Trigun series. I have never watched the movie but I felt that I should see it. As with the titles listed above TRSI has it on sale with the twelve days of Christmas sale.

Plot Synopsis “Wataru Minakami was at the top of his class in middle school and had a pretty comfy life in Tokyo. When he unexpectedly fails his only high school entrance exam because of a computer glitch, his life is suddenly thrown into utter chaos! To defeat Erina in sports and in the ratings game, Ryouko must call upon her skills not as an actress, but as a master of the kendo ring!”

Most guys would kill to live with five sexy ladies, but if Keitaro’s not careful, this job will kill him.”
I love Love Hina. Love Hina was the first manga series I bought back in 2004 (the Tokyopop releases then). I also enjoy the anime version of Love Hina as well. Plot Synopsis (from collection 1): “One should always understand other people’s customs before making commitments. Worse, various aliens are showing up on missions of varying hostile intent, the girl that Rito really loves is still completely unaware of his feelings, and all of the new customs he’s got to learn seem to involve touching a girl’s chest! Peepo Choo GN 2-3
Plot Synopsis (from GN 2): “The version of Tokyo that Milton is now witness to is nothing like what he saw in his favorite cartoons and comics. Instead, Tokyo is a bustling and surprisingly quiet megaopolis, where salarymen are seen more often than cosplayers and no one seems to have read the Peepo Choo manga. What’s more, those who do read comics – and they come from every age group and demographic – are reading comics about sports heroes, office employess, wine tasters, and politicians instead of ninjas and giant robots”
This was one manga that I kept hearing about time and time again. I read the first volume months ago and decided to get the rest of the series.
